붓꽃 독백 - <비발디 - Sovente il sole>
Vivaldi's Most Beautiful Aria Sovente il sole
The aria is from the serenata Andromeda Liberata on which Vivaldi was the chief
writer but used other composer including Albinoni, Porta, Porpora and Lotti, which
leads to this music being sometimes described as a pasticcio; an assemblage of
music by several composers. A serenata is a hybrid between a cantata and an
opera performed in evening hours out doors. As far as the authorship of Sovente i
l sole goes one writer describes it as possessing a "melancholy fluency, no one
else could have written it." So good luck to anybody who wishes to argue with this gentleman. To illustrate the aria I used a Rubens portrait of Helena Fourment, his
second wife, an angelic drawing to match angelic music.
