붓꽃 독백 - 일상

하루도 빠짐없이 아빠곁을 지켜드렸고 

하루도 빠짐없이 아빠를 꼬옥 꼬옥 안아드렸고

하루도 빠짐없이 손잡아 드렸고 

하루도 빠짐없이 아빠 기저귀 갈아드리고 닦아 드렸고

하루도 빠짐없이 식사 수발 해드렸고

하루도 빠짐없이 아빠가 오스트리아에서 공부하셨던

관계로 유창하게 하시는 독어로 사랑한다고 말씀드렸고

하루도 빠짐없이 뽀뽀 도장을 찍어드렸고

이 세상에서 가장 사랑했던 우리 아빠 헨리.....

아빠를 모시고 집에서 살때 직장 가면서 아빠에게 남겼던 메모가 남아 있다.

아빠는 사랑하는 아들을 늘 애칭으로 돼지라고 부르셨었다.

휴무 첫날인 어저께는 퇴근후 온종일 자고 또 자고 세탁할까 하다 게으름이 찾아와 그만두고 말았다.

그리고 밤이 깊어 샤워를 맞추고 얼마후 침실로 직행을 하고 말았다. 모든 것을 손을 놓았다.

그리고 오늘 아침에는 일어나자마자 그대로 창문을 다 열어 제치고 오랜만에 방 공기를 환기 시켰다. 

그리고 화장실부터 침실, 거실 부엌을 대청소를 하였다. 그리고 밀린 세탁을 하여 모두 질서정연하게

개어 옷장에 개어넣고 손을 놓고 유튜브에서 돼지 고기에 대한 다큐멘터리를 시청하고 다시 <시간이

빚어낸 부산의 맛>이란 프로그램을 흥미진진하게 시청하였다. 사이 사이에 잠시 성경을 읽기도 하고

그 가운데서도 특별히 성경구절에 돼지가 거론된 것이 열네개 부분이 있다는 사실도 알게 되었다.

돼지에 관한 다큐멘터리에서 카멘테이러가 시편에 돼지를 더러운 동물로 묘사했다며 이야기를

전개하여 하도 궁굼하고 호기심이 발동해 영어 성경을 뒤지다 결국 구글에서 열네군데가 있다는

사실을 발견하게 되었다. 바깥 공기가 차가워 아직은 봄이라고 부르기에는 이른 계절이다 싶었다.

문득 아빠가 사무치게 그리웠다.

다시 아빠를 찾아 나섰다. 아빠의 흔적들을 뒤져보고 저장해두었던 아빠 사진들을 다시 다 하나

하나 열어 보았다. 아빠와 행복햇던 시간들을 되짚어 보았다. 우리가 함께 다녔던 곳 곳 하나 하나

그리고 그 순간 순간에 우리가 함께 나누었던 행복을 재음미 해보았다.

아빠가 그렇케 사랑했던 아들이었던 만큼 나 또한 그토록 사랑했던 아빠 이었기에 그만큼의 

크기로 사무치는 그리운 아빠의 부재로 인한 절대적인 고독과 아픔의 시간과 세월을 수없이 

보내야만 한다라고 생각한다. 결코 말처럼 쉬운 일이 아님은 논할 여지가 없다. 사방천지에

아빠의 모습과 흔적들이 보이고 남아 있다. 그것도 진행형으로 하여 때론 그런 그리움에

전율하고 만다. 세월은 때론 생각하기에 따라서 얼마나 잔인하고 무심하고 허망한지 모른다.

이 세상 여행을 맞추는 날까지 그래도 살아내야만 하는 것이 우리네 삶과 인생여정이다.

수많은 세월 영어를 일상에서 사용하고 살다 보니 한글 문장 어순을 바꾸는 일이 많아져 자판기를

두드리며 몇번이고 수정을 해야만 된다. 모국어를 유창하게 하여도 영어식으로 생각을 하며 늘 

일상에서 살아가니 한글 어순을 나도 모르게 영어식으로 쓰게 된다. 잠시 오늘 시간을 보니 이게

왼일 벽에 걸린 시계의 시간과 맞지 않는 것이다. 하여 왼일인가 하고 찾아보니 어저께 썸머타임이

해제되어 한시간이 앞으로 가게 된 것이었다.

그리고 문득 어렸을 때 읽었던 안데르센의 동화집과 이솝 이야기와 그림 형제의 동화책을

읽고 싶다는 생각에 아마존에 들어가 찾아보니 다들 한권에 20불이 넘어갔다. 잠시 생각을

멈추었다. 좀더 생각해보기로 했다.

이제 잠자리에 들고 아침에는 일어나 한달만에 다시 주치의를 만나러 가는 정기진료날이다. 

가서 혈압 검사도 다시 해야 되고 물론 매일 집에서 하지만 그리고 통풍 초기 증세로 인하여 

혈액검사를 다시 하여 Uric acid 수치가 얼마나 되나 알아 보아야 하고 돌아 와서는 하던 공부를 

마주 맞추어야 한다. 어느덧 새벽 4시 18분 이제 침실로 가야할 시간이다.
