붓꽃 독백 - <Villa-Lobos: Bachianas brasileiras No. 5, W. 389, 1. Aria>

 

이 곡은 어저께 올려놓은 라흐마니노프의 <보칼리제>와 함께 가장 많이 연주되는

곡 이기도 하다. 이곡을 작곡한 작곡가는 브라질 출신의 빌라 로보스로 20세기를

장식한 가장 위대한 작곡가의 한 사람이다.

라흐마니노프의 <보칼리제>나 이곡을 듣노라면 그저 가슴이 시리다 못해 절이도록

그 아름다움의 극치를 심연의 영혼 깊이 느낀다. 개인적으로 가장 아끼는 소프라노

곡들 이기도 하다.

Nadine Sierra, 2018 winner of the Metropolitan Opera’s prestigious Beverly Sills

Artist Award, has made her first album for Deutsche Grammophon and Decca Gold,

having signed an exclusive contract with the labels last year. There’s a Place for Us

was recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Robert Spano.

The album presents the soprano’s stunning vocal abilities in an eclectic choice of

American classical music – as well as works by Bernstein, the repertoire ranges

from Stephen Foster and Douglas Moore to Stravinsky and Villa-Lobos, and on

again to Ricky Ian Gordon, Osvaldo Golijov and Christopher Theofanidis, with texts

in Spanish and Portuguese as well as English.
